As someone who lives in Stamford and loves pizza, I am always on the lookout for a good slice. If someone told me I could only have pizza from one place in Stamford, my answer would be Belltown Pizza! The first time I walked into Belltown Pizza, the simple old-fashioned atmosphere with the classic brick oven caught my eye. That brick oven holds traditional New York-style pizza. Alongside the food, Belltown Pizza feels like family, thanks to its joyful workers. It reminds me of a pizza place that I go to in Brooklyn, New York.
The pizza’s presentation was beautiful, and it tasted delicious. I have high standards for pizza as someone who likes New York-style pizza, and the first bite told me everything I needed to know. The cheese-to-sauce ratio was perfect as the sauce had just the right amount of sweetness, and the cheese was so fresh with a nice pull. The crust was crispy and thin, which is just what I look for. I couldn’t recommend Belltown Pizza enough; it was perfection.
